Excel Add-in

1010data's add-in for Microsoft Excel is an easy way to marry Excel's familiar input and output presentation capabilities with the power of the 1010data back-end. Once the add in is installed, the user may create spreadsheets that automatically access the 1010data platform.

Excel Add-in Installation Instructions

  1. If Excel is open on your computer, close it
  2. Download the add-in installer
  3. When prompted to run or save, click run
  4. If prompted that "the publisher could not be verified, are you sure you want to run this software?", click run. Be assured that this software is provided by 1010data and is safe
  5. Click through the installer wizard steps
  6. If prompted that an existing instance of the 1010data Excel add-in has been found, click ok to delete the existing version and install the new one
  7. When the installer completes, open Excel and verify that a 1010data menu is present. (If using Excel 2007 or 2010, the 1010data menu will be under the Add-ins menu. If you don't see an Add-ins menu, you won't have a 1010data menu either.) If the menu is present, you have successfully upgraded your software, you're done
  8. A user guide for the add-in can be found in the install directory (by default, this is "...My Documents\1010data Excel Add-in")

If the 1010data menu is still not present in Excel, please follow the steps below. Follow the instructions for the version of Excel that you have.

Excel 2003

  1. In Excel, click Tools > Add-ins... (Note: If no workbook is open, this menu option won't be visible)
  2. Ensure that 1010data Excel Add-in appears checked in the list of available add-ins
  3. Click OK
  4. Close Excel completely
  5. Open Excel, you should now see the 1010data menu, installation is complete

Excel 2007

  1. In Excel, click the Office Button (round button in the top left corner of the Excel window), click Excel Options (on the bottom), click Add-ins (on the left)
  2. Click on the the drop down menu titled Manage (on the bottom), select Excel Add-ins, and click Go
  3. Ensure that 1010data Excel Add-in appears checked in the list of available add-ins.
  4. Click OK
  5. Close Excel completely
  6. Open Excel, you should now see the 1010data menu under the Add-ins tab on the Ribbon; installation is complete

Excel 2010

  1. In Excel, click the File Menu > Options (on the bottom)
  2. In the options window, click Add-ins (on the left)
  3. Click on the the drop down menu titled Manage (on the bottom), select Excel Add-ins, and click Go
  4. Ensure that 1010data Excel Add-in appears checked in the list of available add-ins
  5. Click OK
  6. Close Excel completely
  7. Open Excel, you should now see the 1010data menu under the Add-ins tab on the Ribbon; installation is complete
