Tenbase™

1010data's Tenbaseā„¢ back end raises the bar on the types of queries enterprises can perform and the quality of analysis they can acheive. The power behind our service, Tenbase is a proven approach to data management and analysis, offering greater flexibility and reliability than competing technologies.

By allowing users to pose complicated business questions directly to the back end, Tenbase does not confine them in what they can know and does not require the intervention of scarce IT resources. With its power and speed, Tenbase promotes increased productivity - allowing users to repeatedly perform and refine large queries and providing results in seconds or minutes, rather than hours, days or weeks. Even non-technical users can run sophisticated queries and mine solid, business-critical information from their data.

Tenbase Features

  • Column Stores - Tenbase is designed with a column-oriented approach to storing data, which allows the data to be organized so that retrieval of relevant information is as efficient and fast as possible. The founders have been using this technique for 35 years and have a deep understanding of how to do it right.
  • Parallel and Distributed Grid - Tenbase natively executes queries in parallel on an unlimited number of machines and processors, ensuring that no matter how voluminous the data becomes, it will never out-scale the architecture.
  • Sophisticated ETL - Tenbase's advanced ETL allows for large volumes of data to be seamlessly loaded and tracked. 1010data does not compute indexes, keys, or do preaggregation, so the load process is very fast.
  • High Availability - 1010data customers often update their data multiple times a day. With that in mind, the database remains available during load processes and remains consistent throughout, not affecting the development of queries or the integrity of results. In fact the system is generally available to users 24/7.
  • Automatic Replication - Tenbase automatically replicates a database during the load and update processes, eliminating the need for complex back-up and fail-over mechanisms.
  • Time-Series Analysis - Tenbase's highly efficient built-in functions understand how to analyze data across time, a difficult and inefficient process in the relational databases that form the basis of most data warehouses.
  • Multi-Aggregation Tools - Tenbase allows users to dynamically join heterogeneous databases to each other, empowering users to perform analysis using combinations of data. In fact, Tenbase even allows users to upload their own data and instantly join it to existing databases. Hundreds of tables can be joined with little impact on performance.
  • Web-Based User Query and Management Interface - Tenbase's tightly integrated, Web-based user interface allows for the simple and seamless analysis and management of data, without requiring users to understand specific code languages or advanced database concepts. Most significantly, the user interface allows access to the full range of capabilities of the back end.
  • Web-Based Application Program Interfaces - In addition to a enhanced SQL ODBC interface, Tenbase supports a unique query language, represented in XML, that is far more powerful and flexible than SQL. More than 150 built-in functions are directly supported by the back end.
