Ramón brings 25 years of experience in international global strategy and operational scalability
New York, NY – March 4, 2015 – 1010data, Inc., the only Big Data Discovery platform that uniquely combines a complete analytical platform with all of the relevant data clients need, today announced that veteran global general manager, Carlos Ramón, will join its board of directors. Ramón has over 25 years of experience successfully running the international strategy and operations of world-class technology companies, including PeopleSoft and Akamai Technologies.

In addition to being the Founder and Managing Partner at COMPAS Advisory, Ramón also serves as the Managing Director, Head of Value Acceleration, of Gramercy Funds Management, LLC, a private equity investment management firm dedicated to emerging markets. Ramon is currently a board member to PICS, EdgeTheory, Luxcloud, and Credivalores and an advisor committee member to PwC ‘s global accelerator initiative. His previous leadership experience includes: General Manager, Global, for Silver Spring Networks; CEO and President of Conviva; Vice President and General Manager, International, for Akamai Technologies; Vice President of Operations & Business Development, International, for PeopleSoft; and Vice President, Latin America, for Vantive.

Ramón holds a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Baylor University and graduated from the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Ramón resides in Palo Alto, California.
